Donate Toys and Gifts

The 2025 Toys and Teens Christmas Gift Appeal is now live, and seeking donations!

There are two ways you can donate toys and gifts to our appeal:

1. Take gifts to Donation points
There are donation points across Reading where you can drop off items in person.
The last date for donations at donation points is Saturday 6 December.

2. Buy gifts from our Amazon Wish List
This is the easiest way to support our Appeal! Buy one (or more!) of the gifts from our wishlist and have them sent directly to us.

Alternatively, you can donate money to our GoFundMe. These financial donations are vital to ensure we have enough gifts for the older age groups and those with special needs!

Donations guidance

If you are thinking of donating, THANK YOU! Please read the information below to ensure that you donate items that we can use.

Donated toys and gifts will go to disadvantaged families in the Reading area who would otherwise be unlikely to receive anything at Christmas. For full information about the Appeal please go to our Toys and Teens page.

We are collecting toys and gifts for children aged from birth to 16 years. These will be distributed in time for Christmas. They can be new items or very good quality second hand - 'as good as new'.

If you are buying a new gift please try to limit the cost to a maximum of around £30 per item. We try to give each child similar numbers of items of similar value. If we have some very expensive items it makes it difficult to distribute items fairly.
Similarly, items of very small value tend to get left over, although a colouring book with some crayons or  sticker books are always welcome.

Second hand items must really be 'as good as new' so they must be clean, complete, working - good enough that the receiving family can't really tell they are not new.

Sorry, no soft toys, audio cassettes, computer games, DVDs or CDs, baby equipment, clothes. Please see our 'What to donate' page for a detailed list of wanted and not wanted items for each age group.

Nothing electrical or rechargeable unless it is brand new still in its sealed packaging - if it has a plug on the end and is not new, we are not insured to donate it.

Please make sure that all the pieces of a set are bagged up together and all the pieces of a jigsaw are together in the original box.

Please think about the older children. About half of the children are in the 10-16 age range and they will be just as disappointed to not receive anything as the younger ones, perhaps more so. See this page for ideas of what to give the older children.

If you're in any doubt about whether your items are suitable to donate, please get in touch with us to check:
