Run for us in the London Marathon 2027
The London Marathon is a great opportunity for runners to join a major event and for charities to raise funds through their efforts. We are pleased we won two places in the charity ballot for the event in 2026 through to 2029.
The 2027 TCS London Marathon will take place across two days - Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 April 2027 - giving more people than ever the opportunity to take part. Our two places are in the Sunday event and we’re looking for people to take on the challenge.
Our first runners, George Kelleher and Conal McLean, took part in the 2026 event and raised over £5,000. Our runners learned a lot from the experience as did we - to help make even more of a success next year.

Ideally we are seeking experienced runners and will expect them to commit to training for, and running, the London Marathon. We are not asking our runners to pay a fee but will ask them to raise a minimum of £2,000 in donations for Reading Family Aid.

- An Enthuse fundraising page to promote their marathon and raise money for Reading Family Aid.
- Help with promoting their fundraising efforts to our wider community of supporters, via our newsletter, blog and social media.
- A Reading Family Aid running T-Shirt/vest to wear on the day.
