Glass Ensemble Concert

On Sunday March 27th Glass Ensemble held a concert at St Barnabas Church in Emmer Green and the retiring collection was for Reading Family Aid.

The concert celebrated the wonder of the natural world. The beautiful combination of female voices, piano and harp performed a thoughtful and compelling programme celebrating the abundance of nature and giving warnings of future scarcity due to the climate emergency. Featuring an eclectic range of music from Gustav Holst to Rogers and Hammerstein, Eva Cassidy and Lennon/McCartney. 

Ruth Perkins spoke about the work of Reading Family Aid. It must have pulled at the audience's heart strings as £580 was raised in the retiring collection!
